COVID-19 vaccine location now open at the Ohio Union - A vaccine site for students, faculty and staff is now open in the Performance Hall on the first floor of the Ohio Union. This site will operate Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.-4:45 p.m. through at least May 7. Appointments can be scheduled through MyChart or by calling the Wexner Medical Center COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 614-688-VAXX (614-688-8299).

Our event next month, May 13th at 5:30pm, features Professor Willie Harper. Dr. Harper is a professor of environmental engineering and science at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He has transitioned from a role as an industry engineer into academia where his research focuses on how we can use microorganisms to detect and degrade contaminants. * NEW! 2021 CEE Rising Stars Workshop: October 28-29 @ MIT - The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT is inviting top early career womxn (postdocs and advanced PhD students) in CEE and related fields who are interested in careers in academia to apply for participation in an expenses-paid, two-day workshop (Oct 28-29, 2021). Participants will have an opportunity to present their research, as well as attend panel discussions with faculty focused on issues related to navigating the early stages of an academic career. The goal of this "Rising Stars" workshop is to foster a new generation of womxn in academia and promote diversity in the faculty ranks. NEW! Health Equity Scholars Program, now accepting applications for its 2021-22 cohort.
The College of Nursing’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is partnering with The Ohio State University and the Wexner Medical Center’s Interprofessional Practice and Education Office to create a relevant and transformational opportunity for students and faculty. The program is designed to prepare students with advanced education and skills to guide the generation or implementation of evidence to improve health equity and outcomes in diverse populations. In order to apply, students must form a transdisciplinary team of two and have a commitment from an Ohio State faculty member to serve as their mentor. * NEW! CCAMPIS - Child Care Access Means Parents in School<https://odi.osu.edu/ccampis>
The Child Care Access Means Parents in School Program, authorized by the Higher Education Act and administered by the U.S. Department of Education, supports the participation of low-income parents in postsecondary education through the provision of quality licensed, nationally accredited campus or community childcare services for children six weeks to 12 years old. CCAMPIS provides priority scheduling, evening childcare, life skills coaching, and referrals to university and community resources.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? In order to be eligible for CCAMPIS funding you must:
• Be a Columbus campus student.
• Be a Pell Grant eligible full-time student or low-income graduate student.
• Determined by filing a FAFSA prior to applying for the childcare stipend.
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Be the parent of a child/children aged six weeks to 12 years old, with the child/children having been claimed as the dependent on your previous year’s federal tax return. (If child was not old enough to have been claimed on last year’s tax return, a copy of the birth certificate will suffice.)
* The Student Life Student Wellness Center is hiring a part time (up to 20 hours/week), paid position for any graduate student looking to gain experience in food pantry operations, marketing, engagement, and content development around basic need insecurity and food pantry promotion for our social media, blog, website, the Wellness App, and more. This position is for Summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 Academic year, and specifically targets student basic need insecurity and well-being education and engagement.
