Step 1 of the nitrogen outage is complete. Nitrogen to the building is back on.

Nitrogen in 071, 073, 075 and 081 is still off.

Good afternoon,
This is a reminder of the nitrogen outage scheduled for portions of CBEC tomorrow. Please see message below for details, and let me know if there are any questions!

We have been trying to track down a large nitrogen leak throughout CBEC. I wanted to make everyone aware of a nitrogen outage in CBEC on Wednesday October 16th. Please read carefully as there are 2 different steps to this outage. This outage will only affect the north side of the building. Please close all ports/ nitrogen feeds to equipment Tuesday night. I will send out an email when nitrogen is restored.

CBEC Nitrogen Outage
Wednesday October 16th

Step 1 North side of building shutdown
Impacts 071, 073, 075, 081, 090, 092, 170, 190, 270, 290, 370, 390 470, 490
Isolation valves will be installed in the basement on the north side.
8am-12pm(noon) 4-hour outage
Work will take place in the hallway of the basement
Once work is finished on step 1 Nitrogen will be turned back on to the building. Rooms 071, 073, 075, 081 will not be turned on at this time.

Step 2 Labs in Basement on the northwest side
Isolation valve will be installed inside 071, 073, 075, 081
Nitrogen in these rooms will be down from 8am till 330pm
Work will take place in the ceiling above the northern fume hood bench
