[Cbe-grads] Invitation to Pride in STEM Event: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion in Engineering

Dear CBE Students, Faculty, Staff, and Family,

I hope this email finds you well. I am excited to extend an invitation to all of you to our upcoming professional development event, "PRIDE: LGBTQIA+ Experiences in STEM," aimed at celebrating diversity and inclusion within the field of engineering.

The event features a dynamic lineup, including a keynote address by Dr. Kelsey Best<https://ceg.osu.edu/people/best.309> of Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering (CEGE), followed by a panel discussion featuring both students and faculty members from throughout the College of Engineering (COE). Additionally, there will be engaging activities such as tie-dye (lab coats and T-shirts) and snow cones, providing an opportunity for networking and fun.

As June is Pride Month, it's the perfect time for us to come together and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ students and faculty members. This event serves as a platform to recognize and support the contributions of our diverse community within the College of Engineering.

Location: CBEC 130

Time: 1-3pm

Reception: 1:00 PM - 1:15 PM

Keynote Address: 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM

Panel Q & A: 1:45 PM - 2:15 PM

Activities: 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM

This event is open to all College of Engineering students, faculty, and staff, and we encourage everyone to attend and participate in this enriching experience.

**We want to emphasize that this event is a safe space for open discussion, and any negative or derogatory behavior/comments will not be tolerated. Our aim is to foster a respectful and inclusive environment for all attendees.**
