Happy New Year and welcome back to campus!

We are kicking off the semester with an interesting discussion on the Origins of Biomedical Engineering from Chemical Engineering: How Fields Evolve for our January Teaching ChemE Journal Club! We will meet Wednesday, January 24 at 2-3 pm in CBEC 330. All are welcome!

What is Journal Club? We meet monthly to discuss a published research article and how it relates to the chemical engineering classroom. It is an opportunity to learn new skills, practice public speaking and discussion facilitation, and meet fellow chemical engineers interested in teaching.
Please read the following article written by two leaders in ChemE and prepare for a discussion led by OSU CBE graduate student Jacob Doon-Ralls from the Reátegui group:

  *   How can we foster the growth of new fields and many applications ChemE has by starting in the classroom?
  *   Did you spot one of our faculty members mentioned?? (hint: their initials are S. C.!)
