Hello Student:
Here for your information is the course description of CBE 5774 Polymer Membranes for this upcoming Spring 2024 semester:
Polymer membranes have wide applications ranging from selective molecular separations to the removal and recovery of target materials including solvents, proteins, and particulates. This course will allow students to acquire in-depth knowledge in the area of membrane separation mechanisms, transport models, membrane permeability computations / measurements, membrane materials / types / modules, membrane contactors / reactors, and applications. This course will in turn enable the students to understand and solve membrane-based separation and/or reaction problems. It will also enable the students to select membrane processes and use polymer membranes for solving environmental and energy problems.
The syllabus is attached.
If you are interested in this course, please register and take it. Please let me know if you need additional information. Thanks.
Best,
Winston
