Good morning,

I am reaching out on behalf of The Ohio State University SACNAS Chapter to invite you to our Diversity in STEM Keynote Speaker Event at Ohio State to connect with our chapter members, typically focusing on research or professional development.

This year we will be hosting Dr. Susan Creary who works in the Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research at Nationwide Children's Hospital!  Our invited speaker has a history and active role in promoting diversity in STEM and displays a passion for supporting underrepresented students in STEM fields. With her professional journey focused on serving medically historically excluded communities and advocating for health and research development.

The event will be April 3rd in the MLK Room at Hale Hall from 5-7pm. We will provide catering and space to network with one another.

This event should provide your department's faculty, staff and especially students a much needed forum to meet other scientists like them, and maybe even form mentorship relationships. We hope you will join us and help us share this event by distributing the event blurb below and the attached digital flier to your department via email and/or newsletter.

The Ohio State SACNAS Chapter is incredibly excited to host this year's Keynote Event at Ohio State. We would sincerely appreciate any and all help sharing this event.

Join the Ohio State SACNAS Chapter on Monday April 3rd from 5-7pm at theMLK Room in Hale Hall, as we host Dr. Susan Creary from Nationwide Children Hospital for our Annual Diversity STEM Keynote Speaker. Come connect with URM STEM students and professionals at Ohio State. Meet fellow STEM buckeyes and learn about Dr. Creary's professional and personal journey as a physician-researcher from a historically excluded community. As well as her path of serving and advocating for minorities in STEM! All are welcome: undergraduate, graduate, postdoc, faculty and staff.
