To add to this, I confirmed with Uniprint that "We do have the ability to print on a glossy stock at the UniPrint main Print Facility, at 2500 Kenny Road." The procedure should be the same.

Dear Graduate Students,



Please see the information below (Thanks Snehal!!) about printing posters. The process is a little different this year. Please note, the department BuckID is not yet working. There is a charge of $10.60 per poster. You can get reimbursed for this. There will be a transaction line on your BuckID account that will need to be used.



Knowlton 448 is a self-service area, and it's open for as long as Knowlton is open (once the Knowlton doors lock, you won't be able to get in). ETS may have some students stationed inside that area to help with anybody that has prints. If no student worker is in there, you can still print, but may not have immediate help.

  1.  Access one of the computers at Knowlton 448. They are connected to the CoE network. You can access your outlook/one drive here.
  2.  Export your ppt slide as pdf (That's known to work best for printing)

3.    I would recommend downloading your pdf file and use Adobe Acrobat to open it. (You'll have to login into your adobe account).

4.    Printing

a.     Go to print, make sure to press "Page & Setup" at the bottom left to change the `size` to one of the Arch sizes you need.

b.    For GRS- Arch E (36x48) is $10.60

c.     Printer options- If a speedy print is needed, use the PageWide Plotters. If speed is not a concern, use the T1700 plotters (I would recommend this for good color quality. It takes about 10 min. T1700 are located just near the door)

d.    When you press "print" on the computer, you'll have to enter your last name.#

e.     It'll be sent to a queue, to the plotter you selected.

f.      Find the device on the left side of the plotter, swipe your Buck ID, and press/highlight the file you'd like to print, and press "print".

g.      It will not print from the plotter until after the Buck ID/Card is swiped, the file is selected, and then told to print from the swipe device.  Nothing is printed automatically, so if you accidently press print on the wrong file, it'll be in queue. You can delete it from queue from the swipe device as well.


5.    Payment

a.       In order to release print jobs , payment via Buck ID will be needed.

b.      You can use departmental Buck ID. You need to collect departmental Buck ID from Scott. There were some issues with the departmental Buck ID, not sure if they have been resolved.

c.       If departmental Buck ID is not available, you can use your own Buck ID. You can load money into your Buck ID using a credit card via Buck ID website. You should be able to use that money within 5-10 min.



PS- They had regular paper (not the glossy one) at Knowlton.
