[Cbe-grads] FW: SIS/Gradforms Access - Down Friday through the weekend

Hi All,

This Friday at 10 am PeopleSoft/SIS will go down for the weekend for updates. This means BuckeyeLink and GradForms will also be unavailable.

If you have an exam planned for Friday, October 7th (Final Oral Exam, Candidacy Exam) you will need to submit your GradForms BEFORE Friday, September 23rd as they will need to be approved by your committee members before Friday at 10 am.

Subject: SIS/Gradforms Access

Dear Colleagues,

As you likely already know, SIS/PeopleSoft will not be available for an extended period at the end of this week to facilitate an extensive system update. Unfortunately, we won't have access to SIS/PeopleSoft after 10 a.m. on Friday (9/23), but it should be up and running by Monday morning. Please see the OSU IT website (link<https://it.osu.edu/news/2022/09/02/planned-maintenance-and-downtime-student-apps-sept-23>) for more information.

This service interruption also will impact Gradforms access, as the system will not be available for viewing or for form submission by students.  PhD students who are currently scheduling a candidacy or final defense need to be aware of the two weeks' notice policy, and if their oral exam is being scheduled two weeks from Friday, they should be submitting their application on Gradforms and getting needed approvals before Friday of this week. Graduate School staff will be available by e-mail or phone during the outage on Friday for answering general policy or procedural questions.  As we also will not be able to access student records, more specific questions related to a student's situation might require that we respond once we again gain access to SIS and Gradforms on Monday.
