Good afternoon, TA Coordinators!


I am contacting you as a Graduate Consultant at the Drake Institute of Teaching and Learning. I wanted to share some information about our programming this semester for Graduate Teaching Associates. This year, we are partnering with the Ohio Union Activities Board to provide free lunch to all participants! Please forward the announcement below to your TA's, if you feel they may be interested. We would also love for you to include this information in your newsletters or any other ongoing communications, if possible!

Join the Drake Institute of Teaching and Learning's Graduate Consultants for our inclusive teaching GTA Toolkit, designed for graduate students by graduate students, Tuesday, 9/20/2022 from 11:00-12:30pm in the Ohio Union, Barbie Tootle Room. Participants will learn concrete strategies to build an inclusive environment in their classrooms. Focusing on Universal Design for learning (UDL), this workshop will provide instructors with techniques to improve classroom discussions, articulate meaningful and inclusive classroom expectations, and manage difficult conversations in class.
