Please distribute this announcement of two programs offering fully-funded postdoctoral positions at Georgia Tech.  This may be of interest to PhD students who will graduate within the next year.  The first has a shorter fuse and covers any program in the College of Engineering at GT.  The second is for postdoctoral position(s) specifically in ChBE, through the Charles A. Eckert Postdoctoral Fellowship.  Both programs are ideally suited for aspiring academics, with 3 of the 4 prior Eckert Fellows now holding tenure track faculty positions at various institutions.

In 2011, an alliance was formed, expanding the program to include partner institutions, including Georgia Tech, and maintaining the same goal of contributing to faculty diversity. These postdoctoral fellowships as providing an exceptional opportunity to not only train and mentor future faculty.  Our program offers postdoc opportunities alone or in combination with a tenure track faculty appointment at GT.

Eckert Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Georgia Tech’s School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) will offer multiple fully funded postdoctoral fellowships for 2022-2023. Recipients of these positions will be designated Eckert Postdoctoral Fellows, in honor of Emeritus faculty member Prof. Charles A. Eckert. Applications for this position are open for researchers interested in working with any of the 35+ core faculty in the School.

Features of this fellowship include:
• Full financial support for 18 months
• Funds available for travel, materials and supplies
• Optional involvement in teaching activities

This position would be ideal for candidates interested in pursuing academic positions in the future. More than 130 PhD students or postdocs from our program have joined academia since 2000.

The application deadline for his program is December 15, 2021.
