[Cbe-grads] Distributing Letter to Provost

Dear Graduate Student Organization Leaders,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Emily Koivu and I am a first-year graduate teaching assistant in the Physics Department. Some of my fellow Physics TAs and I have been increasingly concerned with the University's decision to continue in-person instruction during the pandemic. While we have been doing what we can within our department to make this instruction as safe as possible, we believe the University can be more transparent about COVID-19 on campus, and under what conditions we would be permitted to shift to fully online instruction.

We have composed an open letter that we plan to send to the Provost asking the University to make these changes. Although the letter was written from the perspective of physics TAs, we know many other individuals share these concerns. To make sure everyone interested can show support and demand answers, we are asking that you distribute this letter to your respective organizations. The plan is to email this google document to the Provost later in the week. By signing before then you can ensure the Provost sees it, but we will continue updating the document as signatures come in.
