The Nationwide Center for Advanced Customer Insights (NCACI) is recruiting Graduate Research Associates (GRA's) for Academic 2021.  (Summer 21 - Spring 22 but flexible).

About NCACI and our GA positions:  NCACI is an OSU research center that partners with Nationwide Insurance, a local Fortune 100 insurance and financial services company.  Our partnership utilizes OSU researchers to work on business research projects.  Our GA's get a chance to be immersed in industry research while completing their degree.  They also get to work on interdisciplinary teams with students from many other Departments around OSU along with project team members with a variety of backgrounds.  Our past students have told us that it is very educational to see how other disciplines approach similar problems.

Our GRA appointments are OSU standard 20 hour/week (50% FTE) positions.  This level of appointment pays for your tuition (except minor fees like COTA and RPAC), grants you a 85% health insurance subsidy, and matches the stipend you would receive in your home department.  We have in the past found summer internship opportunities at Nationwide for our students and have offered a 75% FTE appointment as funding and needs arise (both require Department and advisor support).  Appointments are renewable until student graduation if deemed a good fit.

Typically our preferred candidates are currently 3rd year or later if PhD (so 4th or later when start GA) or 1st year if Master's level (so will be 2nd year when start GA).  This adjusts to current 2nd years if their home department typically graduates PhD's in 4 years.  However, we accept applicants at any stage of their studies, especially if you have a data analytic background.  We highly recommend any interested student apply, and even if we pass on you this year, you'll be on our "watch list" for the following years.

Timeline:  We are flexible on start Semester based on the student's needs (limited funding for a Spring 21 start and can allow an Autumn 21 start as well).

We have around 10 GA positions to fill this recruitment season.  We hope to finish our applicant review by Oct. 9 and have interviews done and GRA offers sent by early November.

  1.  Tuesday, 9/15, 12pm to 1pm
  2.  Friday, 9/18, 11am to 12pm
  3.  Monday, 9/21, 4pm to 5pm
  4.  Thursday, 9/24, 1pm to 2pm
