Exp 14 - CRC problem

I discovered after sending this the link for the on-line CRC doesn't work.
I did more investigating, even going to the links available on the OSU
library's web pages. It doesn't work there either. I spent a few hours
over 3 days speaking to both OSU's IT and the library's IT people and
finally found someone who knows what's going on. No one has access
to this site, and other similar ones, unless using computers on campus
connected directly to the internet using ethernet (WiFi won't even work).

That means I'm going to give the normal boiling points for the compounds.
You can use these in the report and data entry. The temperatures for
the data entry should only be to one decimal place. You don't have to
put a reference in the report other than to state these were from the CRC
Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.

hexane (68.7), heptane (98.4), octane (125.6)
methanol(64.5), ethanol (78.2), propanol (97.0)

Subject: Exp 14: CRC and sig. fig.

I've had a few people ask about the CRC Handbook of Chemistry
and Physics. You can find a link for the on-line version in many
places on my class web pages and Carmen ("Laboratory" module).
You use your OSU ID and password to log on. Even so, here is
the link,

The sig. fig. for ln(P) are tricky. It's explained in my help file
for exp 14 and another help file I have specifically about logs
and s.f. I've sent both links out before but here they are
again. Sig. fig. for logarithms is also explained in Appendix A
of the textbook. I sent this information in a previous e-mail
for the pre-lab.
