Exp 7 starts this coming Tuesday. Exp 7 is largely a simulation
with a short 15-20 minute experimental part.
If you have any previous experiments to finish you will use
this period. You should have your notebook for exp 7 prepared
as usual. You should work on your unfinished exp first. However,
if it looks like you are running out of time you need to make sure
you get the experimental part of exp 7 done. You should then
finish the other experiments *BEFORE *doing the simulation part
of exp 7. If I've already given you specific instructions about exps
you need to finish please follow those instructions. You need to
check with me first about whether you are allowed to work on these
other experiments.
You need to be well prepared to do the experimental part of
exp 7 and finish the other experiment with some time to spare
to hopefully do the simulation part of exp 7 and make sure you
things completed. Make sure your notebook is prepared for exp 7.
If you can't start the simulation part or finish it you will need to
make arrangements with your TA to finish exp 7 simulation after
the quiz the following week. If you can't finish it then you need to
do so during your TA's office hours within the week before the next
lab period. If you can't make their office hours you will need to contact
me so other arrangements can be made. The report for exp 7 will
still be due on the assigned due date. You can *NOT* do exp 7 at home.
We will not accept it.
