I know the report for exp 14 isn't due until next week. However,
I've received questions about the pre-lab and some of you may
start the report and post-lab data entry before then.
I always get questions from students about getting negative
values for Ps from eqn 6 in the manual. This is mentioned in my
help file for exp 14 on the class web page and I've also discussed
you can't have negative pressures in lecture.
Here it is again:
*KELVIN, KELVIN, KELVIN*
Also, you don't need eqn. 6 for the V.P. at the boiling point taken in
lab or the normal b.p. which you get from the CRC.
Remember, I have a help file for this exp and an example for
using Excel and the graph for the 3 compounds studied. There
should be one graph with the data for the 3 compounds on the
same graph.
There use to be an unknown for this experiment. That part has been
removed. If you see any references to an unknown or a 2nd graph
in the manual or my web pages for an unknown ignore them. However,
please let me know so I can make corrections to my files and the manual.
