For the 12th edition of the textbook there's a couple of corrections
(that I know about).

1) There is a mistake in the answer to the Give It Some Thought question on
     page 226, part (a).

     For the 3rd shell, n=3, there is 1 3s orbital, 3 3p orbitals and 5 3d
orbitals for a total of 9 orbitals (n^2).

The answer states there are 10 3d orbitals.  That's incorrect.
There are 5 d-orbitals
in any d subshell (immaterial of what shell).  Any d-subshell will
have 5 d-orbitals
and can hold a maximum of 10 electrons (hence 10 transition elements).

2) There's a mistake on page 234 at the bottom of the page.  The
electron config. for Se
is given as [Ar]4s^2 3d^10 4p^4, which is correct.  Then it's given
again with the subshells
arranged in order of inc. principal quantum number as [Ar]3d^10
4s^2 4p^3. This is
INcorrect.   Somehow an electron in the 4p was lost.
