SAFETY IN THE LAB
Each student must wear adequate clothing to reduce the possibility of
injury from chemicals
or broken glass; long pants or skirts to the ankles, closed toe shoes,
and shirts that cover
the midriff are required. *NO SHORTS, SHORT SKIRTS, LEGGINGS, CROP TOPS, OR
SANDALS/OPEN-TOE SHOES!* Students who wear these articles of clothing
will be sent
home - NO make-up time will be provided. This includes wearing
tights/pantyhose with a
skirt or shorts - they will not protect you from an acid spill!

And of course goggles!

*This policy applies as well during the weeks we have a Review and Quiz
in the lab**
**rooms.*  Even though you aren't doing an experiment you still have to
follow the
above guidelines and wear goggles and the appropriate clothing, as
discussed in
the syllabus and in a question in the Gatekeeper quiz.

Essentially, *anytime you're in lab you have to follow these
guidelines*.  If you do not
we will not allow you in lab.  Any lab time missed can not be made up.
That means
if you miss an exp., review or quiz you will not be allowed to make it
up and you will
receive zero points (assuming you leave and don't come back).
