Sapling Learning System

We are *NOT* doing on-line homework.  However, I asked Sapling Learning
to set something up for 1250 using the problems from my 1210 and 1220
classes.   There is a charge, $42 for the whole semester.  There is a 14-day
grace period where you can try it out.  That usually runs from the start
of the
term however I've asked them to start it from today, Friday.  I know $42
sounds like a lot but spread out over 14 weeks it's only $3.00 per week.
You are *NOT* required to do this.  It is *voluntary*.

Honestly, if you're doing things the proper way (see my "Study Methods"
link), doing at a minimum the homework I've assigned (you really need to
do more if you hope to do well), not falling behind and then doing some
problems more than once (you need to do things more than once in order
to learn it well long term) I don't think you would need this.

On the other hand, if you didn't do well on the assessment quiz (6 or less)
you may need help catching up and this could provide help.

Using SL is NOT a replacement for the end-of-chapter assigned homework.
You have to do the EOC problems.  The SL is meant as a tool to use if you
feel you need some extra guidance and perhaps you could try this if you feel
you need help/tutoring.

Even so, if you are having trouble understanding the material (textbook,
lecture,
lab, etc.) please stop by my office.  If I'm not there try the help room
in 170 Celeste.
