If you look at the syllabus you'll see we don't have another quiz until
the end of the semester. Of course that might mean everyone would
not stay current. I've put up some old quizzes from the past before
we started semesters.

In the last two weeks we've covered Chapters 10 and most of
11. I've covered pretty much up through section 11.5. However,
there are still two things I need to do from 11.4 (heating curves
and critical temp and pressure). We will not be covering section
11.7 in the 12th or 13th editions.

We will be covering 11.7-11.8 in the 10th and 11th editions (this
is solids, unit cells, etc.). This information about solids is in ch 12
in the 12th & 13th ed. The biggest "problems" arise if you are using
the 12th/13th ed. Please see my web site ("Notes" link) for details
about the different coverage in the different editions. If using the 10th
or 11th editions we are covering all of ch 11 and none of chapter 12.
If using the 12th/13th ed. we are covering 11.1-11.6 and not using
Ch 12. For those editions I've put the information about solids from
the 11th ed. on Carmen (see the "Notes" link on my class web page
for more info.).

I'll be putting up a total of 6 quizzes and their answer keys (see the
"Quizzes" link). The first two are up.

The first one covers only Chapter 10. The second quiz covers Chapter 10
and 11.1-11.5 (except for parts of 11.4 - critical temp and pressure and
heating curves and Clausius-Clapeyron eqn from section 11.5).

The third quiz covers 11.4-11.6. It's not up yet.

The fourth quiz will cover material from chapters 12 (solids, see above)
and 13.

In chapter 13 we will be covering section 13.4 first and then moving on
to section 13.1 (very light coverage), 13.2 and 13.3.

Each quiz includes what sections or chapters it covers. For chapter 12
that refers to solids (see the info above and on my web page).

Quiz 5 will cover material from chapters 13 and 14.

Quiz 6 will cover material from chapter 14.

Sit down and time yourself for each quiz and try to complete it in the
allotted time. That should give you a better idea of how well you know
the material. Do this AFTER completing the homework assignments for
the sections each of these quiz covers.

Give yourself the time listed at the top of the quiz. Maybe give yourself a
day or two between the time you finish the homework and the quiz. The
day before you plan on taking the quiz review the material and do a few
more problems. Then take the quiz.

See the "Quizzes" link for the details about each practice quiz and the
associated homework problems.
