Nerd Alert: How to See the ‘Green Comet’ on Thursday - The New York Times

A green-hued comet from the outer solar system, known also as C/2022 E3 (Z.T.F ), is set to swing
through Earth’s neighborhood for the first time in 50,000 years. It makes its closest approach on
Feb. 2, but if you miss it this week there will be favorable viewing opportunities in the days ahead
with a pair of binoculars or using a DSLR camera and a tripod.
