Quiz 7 material Ch 16 (16.8-16.11) and Ch 17 (17.1-17.2)

Quiz 7 will cover:  Ch 16 (16.8-16.11) and Ch 17 (17.1-17.2)

The quiz will be accessible this coming Sunday, 3/6, at 7 PM.

If you have a conflict hopefully you've contacted me already.

This quiz covers material from last week and an example or two
from the fist lecture of this week.  I know 17.1 and 17.2 are not
on MT 2 but the material is closely related to material on MT 2.
Common-ion problems are somewhat similar to what you do for the
second step in a polyprotic acid problem.  They're like a weak
acid or weak base problem but instead of starting with zero for
the conc. of both products one of their conc. are not zero.

The Mastering homework due this weekend is a review of that material.

Rather than repeat it all here, you can find details of what's covered on

class web page (not Carmen).  It also lists which sections from the textbook
are covered and the corresponding end-of-chapter (EOC) problems and on-line
