We will start these sections tomorrow.

Section 17.4 is about solubility and Ksp (solubility product constant).
Section 17.5 is about what affects solubility of insoluble or only slightly
soluble ionic compounds. There's actually 4 types of things which
affect solubility discussed in 17.5.

In the end-of-chapter exercises they combine problems from 17.4 and
17.5. You should be working a section at a time and maybe for 17.5
even a subsection at a time. To that end my EOC "assignments" page
on my website lists what questions you should do for 17.4 and 17.5
and 17.5 is broken into the different subsections.

Previously, I moved the mastering for 17.4-17.5 to next weekend.
Only the homework for 17.3 is due this weekend. I had completed
much of 17.3 last Tue for strong acid - strong base (SA-SB)
and SB-SA and WA-SB titrations. I did WA-SB titrations on Tue.
and showed an easy way to find the pH in the buffer region of the
titration curve. Then we did WB-SA titrations. I have to complete
polyprotic acid titrations and polyprotic base titrations. Polyprotic
bases are also called polybasic bases, meaning they can react with
more than one H+ so there's more than one equivalence point in
the titration. Polyprotic acids have more than one equivalence pt.

Quiz 7 might cover some things from sections 17.1-17.2, even though
those were on MT 2. There will be SA-SB, SB-SA, WA-SB and
WB-SA titration questions. Also, there will be general neutralization
reaction questions. That's what titrations are. I'll send more
information later this week about the quiz.
