Indicators: uses a "universal" indicator composed of 4 indicators. It's blue/purple
when basic, green when neutral and yellow/red when acidic. Dry ice (CO2) is
dropped into the graduated cylinder. It reacts with the water (Lewis acid-base
rxn.) to form carbonic acid (H2CO3), which then ionizes to turn the soln acidic.

Acidity and basicity of salts: See if you can predict what happens when various
salts are added to water (uses the universal indicator from above). Do the salts
produce acidic, neutral or basic solutions.

Hope these help if you're struggling understanding some of these concepts.
