Quiz 3 will cover:  Sections 16.1-16.11 and 17.1

This quiz is Tuesday, July 6, 7-10 PM, due to the holidays.

This quiz covers the material from last Wed and Fri and Monday of this
week, up through 17.1.

The Mastering homework for 17 covers 17.1 and 17.2.  I actually moved
the due date to next weekend because I could not split these sections
into separate homework.  For Ch 17a (17.1-17.2) Tutorials due on July 9,
there are actually no questions covering just common-ion problems.
For Ch 17a (17.1-17.2) Homework Review due on July 10 the first two
problems deal with section 17.1.  Although they're not due until next
weekend you can do the first two questions as a review for this quiz.

I sent this out previously, but note I moved the Mastering Tutorials
and Homework Review due dates for some of Ch 16 (16.8-16.11) to Sunday
and Monday to help spread things out a bit.  I did this because we don't
have lecture on Monday and the quiz is Tuesday night.  Use this extra
day to get caught up.

Rather than repeat it all here, you can find details of what's covered on

class web page (not Carmen).  It also lists which sections from the textbook
are covered and the corresponding end-of-chapter (EOC) problems and on-line
homework which you should be able to do.  There's also further descriptions
of things there and links to other help files for this material which can be
found on my web pages.
