Lauren:
Please, in the future do not send e-mail to the Chem1220 e-mail list but directly to zellmer.1 at osu.edu<mailto:zellmer.1 at osu.edu>.
I did get something but students are still suppose to contact the instructor to set things up. Often times
students request the extra time for exams but not quizzes. Plus, I usually like to communicate with them.
The extended time was not applied to the pre-quiz because it wasn't really necessary since it didn't
count for any credit and we're just getting started. I wouldn't even have had time to set things up for
people in Monday recitations.
I need to know your TA's name and your day/time of recitation. I will put you in my file for the extra time
and that will be applied starting with quiz 1.
I'm glad you were able to come to one of the How to Study sessions. It can be a very useful thing.
Dr. Zellmer

Subject: Extended Time- Lauren Hughes
Hi Dr. Zellmer,
My name is Lauren Hughes and I am in your CHEM 1220 lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm. I am super excited about being in your class and beginning the course material! I just wanted to reach out to you and touch base about my accommodations, because I noticed that my extended time was not applied to the Prequiz.
Towards the beginning of January, you should have received an email from Disability Services which went over my accommodations, which are as follows; Exam Accommodations: Extended Time 1.50x. Though you have already received this email, I have been told that I need to reach out to make sure that my accommodation is implemented when necessary. I would like to use my extra time on every timed test-- and if you are able to do that automatically through the electronic system, great! But if not, and you would like for me to reach out and remind you to add time before tests, I can do that as well. I am on board with whichever way you think would be most efficient in granting me my accommodations. Please let me know how you would like to go about this, thank you!
Also, I just wanted to say thank you so much for holding the zoom session about how to study and prepare for this class. It was extremely helpful, and I appreciated it very much.
Kind regards,
Lauren Hughes
