MasteringChemistry questions

I got a question from someone about MC and whether there was any homework due which
was for credit. The following are open.  MC homework is set up so you can always work on
them, even if past their due dates, you simply won't get credit.

There are two tutorials which are NOT for credit and just for practice.  The "Introduction
to MasteringChemistry" and the "Chemistry Primer".  The primer is a review of some
things from 1210 and some things from 1220 to see if you got any of this in high school.
If you already have experience with MasteringChemistry you can probably skip the
"Introduction to MasteringChemistry".  These are "due" by 11:59 PM, Thur., Aug. 27.

There's also a couple called Dynamic Study Modules (DSM).  I'm not using these for
credit. However, they are always available in Mastering even if I don't technically activate
them. So just in case I decide to activate these or you just want to use them as a review at
some point, you may want to do these.  There's an "Intro to DSM" module "due" by Fri.,
8/28, at 11:59 PM.  There's another DSM dealing with key math skills (mainly dimensional
analysis problems) due by 11:59 PM on Fri., 8/28.  Again, neither of these are for credit.
These modules are set up by MC such that as you work on questions and get them correct it
has you do fewer problems and if you struggle with them it will ask the questions again or
give others.  After you've reached a certain percentage of correct answers you're finished.
However, the problems are not in any particular order so it makes it difficult to work section
by section from the book, as you should be.  They might be useful when studying for the
midterm or if you're really struggling.

Finally, there's a tutorial module for some concepts from chapter 11. This is for credit.  It is
open now and has a due date of Sat., 8/29, 11:59 PM.  I've set this due date because you need
to review this material right away.

I'll send some more info about MC in the next day or so.   You need to check it often to see
what's there and when they're due.  I would say to check every day to see what's new.  I won't
usually announce when the problems have gone up or when they're due.  The best way to
view things is in Calendar format.  This makes it much easier to see due dates.
