Just a reminder, the overheads I'll be using in lecture are
available on my class web page (not Carmen).
_*Chemistry 1220 - Su19*_

Once there you'll see a "Notes" link. Click on it. You'll see
"Review" at the top. These are the sections I feel you need
to look at right away. There are links there to my chapter 11/12
notes. Those are the chapters that deal with attractive forces,
properties of liquids, phase diagram, vapor pressure, boiling point,
melting point, solids, properties of various types of solids (melting
point, hardness, conductivity properties, etc.).
Take a quick look at the stuff I have there about ch 11 and solids.
Click on the last link "Types of Solids and Their Properties".
Skim sections 13.1-13.4. It will make it easier for you to follow
what I do in class. I will likely spend a little time reviewing
ch 11 material, as will the TAs in the first recitation period. We
will *start with section **13.4*. Then we'll move on to 13.2, 13.1
and 13.3. I take the first 4 sections a little out of order.
I highly suggest you print these or download to your tablet/laptop and
bring them to lecture. In addition I suggest you record the lecture so
you can go back and listen to it if necessary.
