Prequiz - in recitation this week

I always get questions about the "Prequiz", in the recitation
section of the syllabus.  This is a quiz covering some of the 1210
material which will be given this week in recitation.  Normally quizzes
are given at the end of the period.  This one will be given at the
beginning.  This will then give you the opportunity to have the TA
answer any questions you may have over what was on the quiz or
maybe other things from 1210.  There's no need to study for the
Prequiz.  It does NOT count toward your final grade.  You should
use it as an indicator of some of the things you might not remember
from 1210.  If you go to the "Notes" link at my 1220 webpage (not
Carmen) there's a Review section at the top which lists what sections
and material from 1210 I find to be the most important.  For Ch 13
that would probably be chapters 11, 5 and 2.

Monday recitations will not take the pre-quiz.  However, at the end
of week 1 I will put blank versions and the solutions at the "Quizzes"
link on my class webpage (not Carmen).  I suggest you print one of
them, take it in the allotted time and then grade yourself.
