I mentioned this in class but we're going to try something new for the
on-line
homework.  I've opened the tutorials for 17.4-17.6.  They will be worth
points.
There's 11 questions worth differing numbers of points, from 1-3 pts.  This
varies with difficulty and number of parts to the question (more parts and
higher difficulty level is worth more points).  They have hints and
feedback.
You will lose 2% for asking for a hint.  You really want to try to
answer questions
w/o hints.  On the other hand if you need a hint it costs very little.

You should do them as you're reading the sections and doing homework for the
sections.  Again, you can do the book problems before these or use these
to help
understand things and then do book problems.

The questions are set up in order of the sections:

Section        Questions
17.4                1-3
17.5                4-8
17.6                9-11

The due date for these will be Wed., July 11, 11:59 PM, the day before
the quiz
covering this material.

There are still review problems you should do the day before the quiz.
I cut back on
the number of these.  These are due by 8 AM, Thursday, 7/12.

These on-line tutorials and review problems will not likely suffice to
get a good
understanding of the material.  You still need to do some of the
assigned problems
from the book.
