talking to each other about current quizzes

Sometimes I hear from students or TAs about students talking to
each other about what was on the quiz during the day of the quiz.
You shouldn't do that.  If you tell someone what is on the quiz
you've already taken but before they have their quiz, even if it's on
another day, that is considered academic misconduct.

What about two students who've already taken the quiz discussing
the problems on the quiz.  If you speak to each other about the quiz
afterwards that may not necessarily be considered academic misconduct.
However, a fellow student who hasn't taken the quiz could be nearby
and overhear your conversation.  Even though their quiz may be
different, it gives them some idea of what may be on the quiz or the kinds
of questions asked.  That could very well help them do better.

In either case, you are just "shooting yourself in the foot" since this 
class
is graded on a curve.  If you help someone else do better that will make
the curve higher and could cause you to get a lower grade. You don't even
have a leg to stand on when you come and complain because they got a
higher grade and you're admitting to telling someone about the quiz and
that's academic misconduct.  It's like shooting yourself in both feet.
