I've added the video presentation of the syllabus to the class
web page (not Carmen).

*Syllabus - Video Presentation*

This is a video presentation of the syllabus, as I would normally do
during the first lecture. I actually expanded it and went into a lot
more detail than I used to do in class since this gives me more time
to discuss the various portions of the syllabus. You are required to
watch it since I won't be going over the syllabus the in lecture, as
in years past. You are responsible for knowing about the various
aspects of the course which are explained in the syllabus. I don't
expect you to have it memorized but know a good portion of what's
there and know you should go to the syllabus first when you have
questions about the course. If you ask me a question which is
answered in the syllabus I will simply tell you to find it there.

This will allow us to save about 40 minutes of class time which we
will be able to use on the course material.

There are a couple of corrections to the syllabus. These changes are
not in the video version but are in the "paper" version.

1) Page 4: the last paragraph was copied from the 1210 syllabus and
referred to 1220 as a prerequisite to the next
course in the
sequence. It meant to state organic. This
paragraph has been
                      updated.

2) Page 9: there were some changes to page references about lab stuff
                      in the syllabus.

3) Page 12: Under the Reports part the Data line was changed from exp 16
to exp 3, DRL. Experiment numbers and some
titles have
                        recently changed.
