Exam 1 Time and Location (according to lab TA):
-----------------------------------------------

TUESDAY, June 28, 4:45-6:15 PM

LAB INSTRUCTOR LOCATION

ALL Sections 1000 MCPHERSON Lab - (140 W. 18th Ave.)

****************************************************************************
Exam 1 covers Chapters 13, 14, 15

Check the class web page for specifics ("Exams" link).

****************************************************************************

Arrive at least 15 minutes early. We will start promptly at 4:45. If you
are late you will NOT get extra time to finish. You will need all the
allotted time. If you go to the wrong room you will be sent to the correct
location even if it means you will be late. You will not get extra time
because you are late due to going to the incorrect room.

You MUST have ALL bubbles filled in when time is over. You will NOT be
given extra time to fill in the bubbles after the TA announces the exam
is over. If you do not have the bubbles filled in, the answer sheet will
be collected blank and that is the score you will receive.

Bring an Allowed CALCULATOR (NO other calculators will be allowed)

          TI-30XA and TI-30XIIS

You must remove the calc. covers and put them away.

You will NOT be allowed to have any of the following out:

         Laptop
         Cell Phone
         PDA
         Pager
         MP3 Players
Any other electronics (including digital watches)
         No pencil cases
Food (See me if you have a medical condition requiring this)
         Drink Bottles
No Hats, head bands or head coverings (religious reasons - see me)

You MUST bring your OSU ID (BuckID) or some other picture ID.

Before the exam is passed out you will need to have your calculator
(without cover) and ID on your table top. Other than those things,
pencils and erasers, nothing else should be out.

****************************************************************************

You need to have your Carmen ID. Most of you will have it on your BuckID
cards (student #). You will use this as your ID number on your answer sheet.
If you don't have a BuckID you can look up your Carmen ID in Carmen. Log
into Carmen and go to our class link. The easiest way to find it is to click
on grades. There's a section at the top labeled "Carmen Org Defined ID".
That's it. Please memorize it or store it in one of your calculator's memory
registers. Without this ID number it could take up to a week for you to get
your score up in Carmen.

You must also make sure you fill in your name, test form, section number and
sign the answer sheet. This includes bubbling them in on the answer sheet.

5 pts will be deducted from your exam score for not having your Carmen ID or
the other things filled in on the answer sheet. The TAs will NOT be giving
out Carmen IDs.

Practice Exam:

There is only 1 practice exam.

Take the practice exam as an exam (i.e. as if it were the real thing). Give
yourself 85 minutes and see how you do (the exam is 90 min but you have to
account for having to fill in the answer sheet). Do NOT simply use it as a
study guide. See the web page for "Exams" or "Practice Exams". Take a look
at the last page if you are curious about what constants and equations you
might get on the exam.

The solutions (with everything worked out and explained) are also up. They
are a separate link. You have to scroll down a little to see it.

******************************************************************************

Early exams

You MUST sign up with me to take the early exam. You can only take this
exam if you have a University conflict with the scheduled exam time.
I will need a copy of your course schedule by Monday, 6/27/16.

If you have any other conflict you need to e-mail me by Monday and come
see me personally on Monday, 6/27/16, & provide proper documentation.

Only go to the one for which you signed up.

The early exam is on Tuesday at my office (I'll let you know the exact

You MUST bring your OSU ID (BuckID) or some other picture ID.

******************************************************************************
