white notebook pages, report sheets

Do NOT tear out the white notebook pages and turn them in with the
report. These should ALWAYS remain in the notebook. The carbons
are torn out before leaving lab and given to the TA.

The report sheets from the manual are generally part of the templates
provided on Carmen. You should be able to fill them in with your data
but you have choices for this:

      1) Fill in the report sheets directly in the template or from the
manual
and then scan them and include those in the Word document. If
you used Excel to do some of the calculations and graphs
include
those sheets in as well, even if they aren't formatted to
look like
the report sheet. We want to see the numbers you used in Excel
used for the calculations and graphs.

      2) Use Excel to make the data tables and report sheets. Make the
Excel worksheets look like the report sheet. Fill in the Excel
worksheet (programming the equations in is very useful). Then
             do one of the following:
                 a) From w/in your Word document include the Excel
worksheets.

                 b) Print out the Excel worksheets (right from Excel -
same for the
graphs) and scan them (or take a picture) and from
w/in your
Word document include the scanned file. You do not
have to
copy all the numbers over to the report sheet.
However, the
report sheet in the template should remain, even if
blank.

In either case, make sure you have units somewhere (in the column headings
is most convenient) and make sure you have the correct number of s.f. As
mentioned before, this is a little tricky to do in Excel but can be done by
setting the correct number of decimal places.

You also still have to show the appropriate sample calculations even when
you have Excel do the calculations. Make sure you use your data.
