Survey

I found the e-mail from the young lady who came to class on Wed. and 
spoke to you
at the end of class about taking a survey/quiz.  It is a quiz covering 
solution chemistry.
She was hoping for people to take it before we get too far into chapter 13.
The quiz takes about 15-30 minutes.  You don't get any credit or 
anything like that
but she did leave me some candy to pass out to those who take it.

I know some of you took it after class on Wed.  I will bring a few 
quizzes she left with
me to class on Friday around 8:45 for those of you willing to show up a 
little bit before
class.

Hello, my name is Mandy McCormick Smith.  I am a graduate student at 
Ohio State in the Department of Teaching and Learning. I am conducting 
research on college chemistry students' understanding of solution 
chemistry concepts. I am writing to invite you to participate in my 
research study as you are registered in a first year college chemistry 
course.

Participation in this research involves taking a written survey 
(paper/pencil survey) and answering questions about solution chemistry.  
You will also be asked a few simple demographic questions. The survey 
will take up to 30 minutes to complete, and will be administered after 
class Wednesday June 18th. Completion of the survey will indicate your 
decision to participate in this research.

Your participation is completely voluntary.  You can choose to be in the 
study or not.
