The following is information about your final exam. Please read it
carefully and make sure you know where you are supposed to be and when.
If you show up on the wrong day or at the wrong time you will not be
allowed to take the final then and it will result in a zero on your final
unless you have a valid written excuse. Not knowing where and when is
the final is not a valid excuse. Additional info can be found on the
course web page by clicking on the "Exams" link.
I will be around this week between about 11:30 and 3:30. I will be around
on Tuesday before the review but pretty busy getting things ready for the
my 1250 final. I will be around Thursday except for hopefully a brief
period from 12:30-2 for a dental appointment.

The Final is cumulative and covers the whole semester.
Check the class web page for specifics ("Exams" link).
******************************************************************************
Arrive at least 30 minutes early. We will start promptly at the specified
time. If you are late you will NOT get extra time to finish. You will
need all the allotted time. If you go to the wrong room you will be sent
to the correct location even if it means you will be late. You will not
get extra time because you are late.
You MUST bring an OSU picture ID. If you do not have one please contact me.
You need some sort of picture ID. You will NOT get an exam w/o an ID.
We will collect your ID. You will get it back when we get ALL pages of the
exam and the answer sheet back.
You do NOT get to keep the final (any part of it, including the cover page
and the back info pages) or leave with the answers written down. Doing so
will be considered academic misconduct.
You MUST have ALL bubbles filled in when time is over. You will NOT be
given extra time to fill in the bubbles after the TA announces the exam
is over. If you do not have the bubbles filled in, the answer sheet will
be collected as is (even if blank) and that is the score you will receive.
Bring an Allowed CALCULATOR (NO other calculators will be permitted.)
TI-30 (any letter/suffix, except TI-30XS Multiview)
- NOT a TI-25, 30XS Multiview, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 81,
83, etc. MUST have the number 30 (thirty) in the name
(e.g. TI-30XA, TI-30 solar, TI-30XIIS, TI-30XIIB, etc.).
Sharp EL-509 (any letter) - e.g. EL-509G, EL-509X, etc.
Sharp EL-531 (any letter)
Casio FX-250 (any letter)
You must remove the calc. covers and put them away.
I will NOT be handing out any calculators at the final. If you bring
the wrong calculator or forget yours you will be stuck without one for
the final. That's not a good thing.
NO Hats or head coverings (other than for religious reasons - see me)
NO Food or drinks (bottles, cans, etc.). See me if you have a medical
condition requiring this.
You will NOT be allowed to have any of the following out or left on:
Laptop
Cell Phone
PDA
Pager
MP3 players
Any other electronics
Nothing electronic except an allowed calculator. Other electronics must
be turned OFF and put away.
Before the final is passed out you will need to have your calculator
(without cover) and ID on your table top. Other than those things, pencils
and erasers, nothing else should be out.
******************************************************************************
Please remember to look up your Carmen ID. Log into Carmen and go to our
class link. The easiest way to find it is to click on grades. There's a
section at the top labeled CaremenID Number. That's it. Please memorize it
or store it in one of your calculator's memory registers. Most of you will
have it on your BuckID cards (student #). You will use this as your ID
number on your answer sheet. Without this ID number it could delay getting
your score up in Carmen & delay you getting your final grade.
5 pts will be deducted from your exam score for not entering it on your
bubble sheet. The TAs will NOT be giving out Carmen IDs.

New Material Practice Exam:
Take the "practice final" as an exam. These questions cover only the NEW
material. The final exam is cumulative and is about 29% new material.
There are 42 questions on the final. See the "Exams" link on my web pages
for more details.
There are 29 questions on the "practice final" so give yourself about 65
minutes. Solutions are not available. If you want to see how to do the
problems come to the review or see me next week.
******************************************************************************
The quiz answer keys are posted, as are blank quizzes for practice.
I'm working on the solutions for the midterms.
******************************************************************************
Review:
Tuesday, 4/23/13, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, 1000 McPherson Lab
******************************************************************************
The exam results will be posted in Carmen as soon as possible. I hope
they will be recorded by Fri. and I have all the scores by Fri. night
to calculate the final grades. The grades will not be completed and posted
until Monday at the earliest. When I get them done I will send out an e-mail
to let you know.
