In a previous e-mail I addressed mass spectrometry.  It is covered in a "Closer Look" box.
You should be reading these boxes.

There are also "Chemistry and Sustainability" and "Chemistry and Life" boxes.  You should be
reading these as well.

Unless I tell you we're not covering something in the book you should be reading it, whether
or not I've discussed it in class.
