This is not so much an error in content but there's a problem in question 6 (Problem 2.37) Parts B and C.
is about the allowed answers for Parts B and C. The questions ask about the labels on the x and y axes
of a mass spectrum. The problem is the textbook shows m/z on the x-axis in Figure 2.12 and in the self
assessment figure. In the write up in the associated Closer Look box it also calls it the "atomic mass"
or "atomic weight". The m/z (mass/atomic number) is essentially the atomic mass. It does not accept
""m/z" or "atomic mass". I've told Pearson it needs to accept all 3 answers: "m/z", "atomic weight" and
"atomic mass".

In Part C it asks for the label on the y-axis. Fig 2.12 shows "signal intensity". The figure accompanying
SAE 2.13 has "relative abundance". Both answers should be acceptable. At the present time it only
accepts the first one.

I will give full credit to both parts once the due date is past.

You still need to answer the other parts of the question.

I apologize for all these problems. All these problems did not exist last Autumn (Au21) with the
14th edition. They must have happened as they switched over to the new edition. It's a little
strange in that many of these are the same problems I used in Au21. I know they're trying to update
them so there's more variation in the questions and that must have resulted in these errors.
