Studying for final exam

I've received questions about how to study for the final. There's not enough
time to go back to the beginning and start reading everything.
For the old material, you should print out the sample quizzes. It's best to
retake the quizzes in the allotted time. At least work through them. Then
check the solutions.
Go back through at least one practice exam for each midterm and each
midterm. Make sure you remember everything you knew to begin with.
Then, start with things you kind of understood but got wrong on the midterms.
Figure out why the correct answers are what they are. Leave the things
you are still really struggling with until the end. Hopefully there won't be a
lot of those. If there's a few things you are still really struggling with, try to
come to the review for the final and I'll try answer them.
Right now, my plan is to use the last lecture period on Dec. 6, at least part
of it, as a review. I will also be holding a review on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2-4 PM,
in MP 1000. It was originally planned for Sunday, Dec 4, but since I'm not
sure I will be done with the new material about solids before then, I've moved
it to Dec. 8. The "Exams" link on my personal class webpage has been
updated with this information.
The last quiz will be this coming Sunday, Dec 4.
