Quiz 10 will cover the following: 9.3-9.8.
The quiz will be accessible this coming Sunday, 11/13, at 7 PM.
If you have a conflict, contact me ASAP, don't wait.
The quiz covers last week's lecture material and some from Tue.
of this week. The exam next week covers up through 9.8 so you
need to get through the material this weekend and should understand
it by Sunday.
Section 9.3 was on quiz 9 but this is overlap with that material
(electron-domain and molecular geometries) and the material on
this quiz. That's why I've listed it with this quiz. You still
need to understand geometries, bond angles and how this is
related to valence-bond theory and hybrid orbitals.
See more detail about this material and the quiz coverage at the
"Quizzes" link.
You are NOT allowed to work together or get help from anyone else
or the internet (other than the material on our class website, like
the textbook, my notes, etc). You are not allowed to provide help
or upload the quiz, its questions, or the answers to the internet,
during or after the quiz.
Rather than repeat it all here, you can find details of what's covered on
the quiz on my web page by going to the "Quizzes<https://www.asc.ohio-state.edu/zellmer.1/chem1210/quiz/quiz_1210.htm>" link at my Chem 1210
class web page (not Carmen). It also lists which sections from the textbook
are covered and the corresponding end-of-chapter (EOC) problems and on-line
Mastering homework which you should be able to do. There's also further
descriptions of things there and links to other help files for this material
which can be found on my web pages.
