PhET Simulations

These simulations are actually part of a couple of tutorials for ch 6.  
You will
use one of these for a future lab (EMS).  They are from the PhET website,

Some of these need Java (hydrogen atom, photoelectric effect).

The following is from the authors of the programs if you are having problems
getting it to work.

*Troubleshooting PhET simulations:
*If there is trouble with a simulation it is probably related to Java.   
Brand new
laptops won't have Java installed yet if the student got their computer 
recently
and hasn't needed to use Java for anything else online, they just might not
have installed it.  Instructions for installing Java can be found here (the
installation is very easy):

*Apple Products:*
Sometimes people have trouble with Apple products.  Since I don't have one
I can't give you specific instructions, but you have to change your 
security
settings to allow the download of Java and the simulation.  You need to 
tell
your Apple product to allow programs to download and run which don't come
directly from the Apple Store.   Also, I know the simulation works using 
Firefox
or Chrome.  I can't say if it works correctly using Safari or other browsers

This will *NOT* work on an *iPad*.
