I know this is a little late but I'm getting a lot of questions.
Figured I would.
I don't have a specific page for 1210 just yet (I'm working on it).
I have a chem1250 web page and some of the same experiments
are done in 1250.
You can find this by going to my homepage,
*http://chemistry.osu.edu/~rzellmer/
There you will find a link to my Chem 1250 web page.
_*Chemistry 1250 - Sp15*_
<http://chemistry.osu.edu/%7Erzellmer/chem1250/chem1250.htm>
When you go there you will see a lot of links. For right now the most
important
link is the Laboratory link and the ones below it related to lab. Click
on the
"*Laboratory*" link.
*Laboratory
<http://chemistry.osu.edu/%7Erzellmer/chem1220/lab/lab_1220.htm>*
There you can find information about exp 1. If you don't have a manual you
can get the procedure pages at the storeroom windows on the 2nd or 3rd
floors (231/331). I will have the office check with the book stores
about the
manuals.
Look at the links I have for exp 1 help. Again, you can find these at the
"*Laboratory*" link and/or the "*Helpful Tidbits*" (*Helpful Tidbits
for 1220*
<http://www.chemistry.ohio-state.edu/%7Erzellmer/chem1220/faq/faq_1220.htm>)
link on the class web page.
<http://chemistry.osu.edu/%7Erzellmer/chem1220/faq/exp14.txt>*Exp 1 -
Help for Exp 1* <http://chemistry.osu.edu/%7Erzellmer/chem1250/faq/exp1.txt>
can be found at either of the above links. It will help you with some
questions you
may have about the experiment and report.
At the "Laboratory" link for exp 1 you will find a link to the lab
notebook exercise,
*Post-Lab Notebook Assignment*: Online at
*http://undergrad-ed.chemistry.ohio-state.edu/labnotebook/index.html*
You should have the procedure for exp 1 written in your notebook before
going to
lab. The TA will "grade" this so you get an idea of what should be
included and what
it should look like. The "notebook" grade will be from the notebook
exercise at the
link above (about 1/2-way down the page).
The other links will help with the report and using Excel for doing
calculations and
the graphs.
I am following this up with one more e-mail about exp 1, for now.
I'm sorry this is so late.
Dr. Zellmer
