Message from Morley O. Stone, Senior Vice President

As we conclude spring semester and finals week, I want to again thank you for all your efforts to support your students and research and creative inquiry activities, especially over the last several weeks. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Research Recovery
As the state of Ohio starts to stage reopening business operations, we too are looking into developing guidance around “how” and “when” to safely reopen on-campus labs and studios. As I mentioned in a previous update, we have launched a faculty-led group to advise both the Office of Research and academic leadership with planning efforts for the ramp-up and recovery of the university’s research and creative expression mission. We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks.

COVID Seed Funding
This week, we concluded the Office of Research’s COVID Seed Funding program. After receiving requests for 258 projects, we funded 24 innovative projects, and I look forward to following their progress. New Office of Research Web Page on International Collaborations
While much of our activity over the last several weeks has been COVID related, we continue to make progress in providing important tools and resources for our entire research enterprise.
