[All-extension] News Release: OSU Extension offices remaining on telework through July 6

Extension colleagues,

I have attached a copy of a press release shared this morning with our county personnel, college leadership, county commissioners, other supporters, and state-level media about OSU Extension offices remaining on telework for the near future. The counties are also sharing with local media and audiences as needed.

We have a few counties who wanted us to provide this update on our offices, since other county-owned buildings will be open for business starting today, Monday, May 4. Note: Many of those county building offices will, however, be working with limited staff, with lots of telework still going on (e.g., county auditor and clerks at front desk, etc.).

Specific items to note are:
1)      We will still be in telework status through July 6, unless the university lifts the requirement sooner.
2)      We have a transition team at the university, college, and within OSU Extension planning a comprehensive and phased return to work.
3)      We will still be incredibly responsive to our clientele and are providing lots of virtual programming and responding to all calls.
4)      We are still on target to have our 4-H youth ready for fairs, if they continue within each county.
