Friends in Extension,
Mother Nature has decided to visit us again this afternoon. Storms are predicted across our state and as a result, flooding is again possible. Meteorologists say it will not be as bad as earlier this month but any flooding can be bad. The phrase for today is "situational awareness". Situational awareness simply means to always know what is going on around you. Be aware of approaching storms and distant lightning, they creep up faster than you think. Know the area where you live and work and determine where you can seek safe shelter if the need arises. If we continually survey our surroundings we can give ourselves time to react to whatever problems are thrown our way. Please be safe and always.... make it a great day!
