It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Beth Flynn’s mother. She died unexpectedly on Tuesday. Please keep Beth and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Below you will find the visitation hours as well as funeral information. Kathryn Margaret Wagner Flynn, 86, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her home.
She was born on April 17, 1927 in Royal Oak Michigan, the daughter of Anthony and Ruth (Rice) Wagner.
She was a registered Dietician and a 1948 graduate of The College of Mount St. Joseph and then completed her internship at the Mayo Clinic. She was also a 1944 graduate of St.<x-apple-data-detectors://9> Mary’s High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She was a member of St. Benignus Catholic Church, served on the Highland County Children Services Board from 1991-2003, and many social and civic organizations.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Barbara) Flynn, Esq. of Laurel, Maryland and Dr. William (Jodie) Flynn of San Antonio, Texas; four daughters, Mary Ellen (Jeff) Van Dyke of Newburgh, Indiana, Kathryn (Robert) Dye of Chillicothe, Gemma (Mark) Smith of Greenfield, and Elizabeth Flynn of Chillicothe; nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five brothers, Anthony Wagner, William Wagner, Robert (Lorraine) Wagner, John (Theresa) Wagner and Thomas (Christy) Wagner; two sisters, Betty Daly and Grace (Gene) Heupel; one brother-in-law, William Davis; one sister-in-law, Eileen Quickel; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paul Flynn on February 27, 2011; one daughter, Ann Flynn Corwin; one brother, James Wagner and both parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 26<x-apple-data-detectors://12> at St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield with Father Mike Paraniuk officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Greenfield. A luncheon will follow the burial at St Benignus.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday<x-apple-data-detectors://13> at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rosary at 7:00 P.M.<x-apple-data-detectors://14>
