It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Gary Jones, the father of Tracy Winters, 4-H Educator in Gallia County.
Services will be at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 with services Monday at 11:00 am. Jenkins Funeral Chapel ,110 East 2nd Street, Wellston, Ohio 45692, (740) 384-2704

Gary Kent Jones, 75, died Thursday October 10, 2013 at his home in Hamden. Gary was born September 19th, 1938 in Wellston to the late Gerald & Lucille (Thorp) Jones.  He was a member of Puritan Freewill Baptist Church, a 1958 Graduate of Wellston High School, a proud member of the Rockets' 1957 State Championship Football team, and served his country from 1959-1963 as a United States Marine.  Gary married Sharon Kay Bowden on February 5th, 1966 and fathered two daughters Tracy and Tonya. A Maintenance Mechanic, he was employed by McNally Pittsburg (1963-1975) and USEC - Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant (1975-2003).

He is survived by his wife Sharon of Hamden; two daughters: Tracy (& Jason) Winters of Gallipolis, Tonya (& Gary) Browning of Londonderry; three sisters: Betty (& Charlie) Mayhew of Circleville, Joyce (& Dick) Figlestahler of Jackson, Jane (& Mike) McManis of Wellston; five grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Austin, Sierra, Kayla; and three step-grandchildren: Amanda, Phillip, Jennifer.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Jones.

Services will be Monday, 11am at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.  Burial and Military Graveside services will follow in Hamden Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the funeral home
