As coordinator of the K'acha Willaykuna Our Unlearning Hour, I am delighted to invite you to an artist presentation & conversation with master beadwork Ojibwe artist Jessica Leigh Gokey on Weds Oct 5th, 12:30-3:30pm at the Barnett Center Collaboratory (Sullivant Hall 141) as part of the Arts + Humanities Discovery Theme: Ancient Indigenous Monuments and Modern Indigenous Arts, who are bringing Gokey to OSU for a residency to engage with the Newark Earthworks.

Gokey will give a presentation about her artistic practice between 12:30-1:30pm, then she will join us for the K'acha Willaykuna Our Unlearning Hour: Mask Dialogues from 1:30-2:30pm to discuss connections between her beadmaking work & mask making in terms of ideas of embodiment, performance & knowledge transfer. Then from 2:30-3:30pm, we will open the conversation to anyone in the OSU community & beyond who wants to learn more about her work.
