colleague of mine at Queen Mary (London, UK) has asked me to ask if anyone on
the list knows a source for the following:

anecdote by Woolf in which she recounts delightedly approaching a pile of books,
handling them, opening their pages, and savouring their smell. As I remember it,
she gets out of bed to do this, but that may be a false memory. </SPAN>If any of
the list members can provide a source for this, I would be extremely
grateful."</P>
