This is, of course, a strategy to sell more books. The Genius and Ink essay collection, with what looked to me like a different cover from the first edition of this recent collection, flagged here last week by Marie-Claire, was essentially the same thing.  It allows Penguin to sell more Woolf and Bechdel to promote her Are You My Mother? and Patricia Lockwood to get publicity which, as a poet, must be complicated. And if it brings more Woolfians to the table (and those who appreciate the tactile quality of a hard copy), as Leanna's response suggests it might, let's all applaud! (Although I am sympathetic to those who were expecting an original work).

In terms of Bechdel's interpretation of the novel, Mrs Ramsay and Lily look a little too similar perhaps ...

I have a "Deluxe" edition of Lady Chatterley's Lover. As a somewhat "youth," the comic strip element is intriguing, and the cover material and rough pages make for a nice tactile reading experience (maybe a "luxe" edition is more apt). And as someone who loves Bechdel and the way To the Lighthouse features so prominently in her graphic memoir Are You My Mother?, ...I'm very tempted to purchase this edition.
