[Vwoolf] Susan Standford Friedman

It is so difficult to accept that Susan is gone.  The Modernist Studies Association, Modernisn/modernity, the concept of the New Modernism, and countless contributions to feminist modernist studies, all owing so much to her. He sections on H.D. and Nancy Cunard in The Gender of Modernism were vital.  Most recently, I have benefitted from her expanded vision in Planetary Modernisms. All of this, and a generous colleague and mentor.
